Al-Nasr

Welcome to my new blog about Al-Nasr Saudi Club, one of the most prominent clubs in the Saudi League and participating in the Arab Cup for Champions Clubs. In this article, I will talk about the club's history, its achievements, its most prominent players, coaches, and fans.

Al-Nasr Club was founded in 1955 by a group of football-loving youth in the Malaz district of Riyadh. The club was called Victory as an expression of their desire to achieve victories and championships. In 1960, the club joined the Saudi Football Association and participated in the first official league in 1961.

Since then, Al Nasr Club has achieved many local, regional and continental achievements. It holds a record for the number of times crowned the Crown Prince Cup (8 times), and it is the first Saudi club to win the Asian Club Championship in 1998, and the first Saudi club to win the title of best club in Asia in 2000.

Among the most prominent players of Al-Nasr Club throughout history, we mention Majed Abdullah, the legend of Saudi, Gulf and Arab football, who scored 320 goals with the club in 556 matches. We also mention Fahd Al-Harifi, a brilliant playmaker and captain of the Saudi national team in the 1994 World Cup, and Hussein Abdul-Ghani, a veteran left back and the most international Saudi player.

Among the most prominent coaches who coached Al-Nasr Club, we mention Jorge Da Silva, the current coach, who led the team to crowning the league last season after an absence of 6 years. We also mention Fabro Santoro, the Spanish coach, who led the team to winning the Asian Championship in 1998.

Finally, we cannot lose sight of the fans of Al-Nasr Club, who are considered among the most loyal and brave football fans in the Kingdom.
